Our Story

A train delay, a shared table, and five beautiful years later...

We met on a rainy afternoon in Bath, both waiting out a cancelled train with coffee and too many questions. Jules offered the last seat, Clara stayed for another round.

Five years later, he proposed beside the river at first light. She said yes before he finished asking. Now we're getting married, and we can't imagine celebrating without you.

What to wear

We'd love for guests to dress in smart casual or garden party attire. Think summer dresses, suits, and light fabrics.

There's no strict dress code, so wear what makes you feel wonderful. The only rule? Leave the white dresses for the bride!

Questions?

Here are answers to a few questions we've been asked. If you need any help, just send us an email!

Please RSVP by April 30, 2026. This gives us enough time to confirm final numbers with our caterers and create the seating plan.

We've indicated on your invitation whether you have a guest included. If you're unsure or your situation has changed, just drop us an email and we'll sort it out.

We absolutely adore your little ones, but we've planned an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives parents a well-deserved night off! If childcare is an issue, please let us know and we can try to help arrange something locally.

We have a beautiful marquee as backup, so the party goes on regardless! If there's a chance of rain, we'll set up covered walkways and have umbrellas on hand. We're English – we're used to it.

Yes! There's free parking on-site at Alderwell House. Follow the signs when you arrive, and our ushers will direct you.
